New paintings from MilModa Art (Stand 256) will make your living space unique and revive the home in these dull winter months. They will also give the finishing touch to any room whether it is a DIY makeover or new move. Seasonal Celebrations are drawing closer and the ideal gift will be a painting to Treasure Forever.

Five new works by international abstract artist Robert Hart will be on display. Robert works in oils and has a passion to develop strong landscape observations combined with weather, light, mood and colours blended together to focus on particular events. Robert comments “I’m looking forward to showing new work at Buy Art. Although I know Manchester well, this will be the first time I have exhibited there and it will be interesting to see what kind of response the work gets. Manchester is a buzzing, vibrant city with a strong creative community and I feel sure there will be a lot of interest in the Buy Art Fair. It’s also an exciting new venture for MilModa Art and I am thrilled to be showing my new work with them”.

Robert’s paintings are inspired and informed by the natural landscape:  There are particular places and environments which hold a sustained interest for him, and over a period of time, elements from these places have connected and merged, becoming inextricably linked to states of mind, to particular events, memories, ideas and preoccupations. He continues “What really interests me at the moment, and what is at the centre of my current work is a kind of “otherness” about the landscape, or spirit of place. I started out as a young artist being very influenced by artists like Paul Nash, whose vision of landscape had a spiritual quality and I still identify very much with that sensibility. Abandoned structures, places to take refuge and traces of past occupation, create strange and unexpected juxtapositions within the timelessness of the landscape”.

Charles Borrell is a contemporary, naturally gifted, self-taught artist whose abstract paintings are becoming highly collectable in the UK and Europe. His paintings range in different sizes from panoramic to large squares and are inspired by his Greek birthplace in the port city of Volos, at the foothills of Mount Pelion, which provided him with a magical and mythological backdrop, rich in history and with a wealth of diverse natural beauty. The seascapes and landscapes he represents are both full of power and beauty. “Many of my paintings give the feeling of romanticism or relaxation whilst other pictures are considered more powerful such as the Mediterranean scapes. They move the viewer to focus on the movement, shapes and forms that nature creates”.

It can be observed that going beyond mere nostalgia of Charlie’s work encourages the viewer to share the sentiment and theme of the painting, whilst allowing them to create their own level of intimacy and relationship with the image, according to their own emotions and memories. Charles comments “I want people to create their own story and look at the work and instantly interpret the scenery in their own way. I want them to associate their travels and experience in the pictures from personal memories”.

Many viewers consider that with each new collection of work, his palette expands and ideas form. Whilst many artists’ palettes are static from start to completion, a vivid palette like Charles’ can form a more natural canvas towards the finish of a collection.

MilModa Art are sure you will enjoy purchasing these pieces whatever the reason for a gift, to collect, as an investment, or display in a home or business setting and we hope you gain as much pleasure from them as we have in enjoyed choosing them specially for you.
